ARLINGTON, Virgina – Firefighters and EMS Fund has announced that it will be exhibiting for the second year in a row at Fire-Rescue International (FRI). FRI is the annual conference and expo of the IAFC, which provides senior-level leadership training to fire chiefs. The event is August 7-10, 2019 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.
Nile Porter, the Executive Director of Firefighters and EMS Fund, had this to say about the event: “IAFC is a great organization that really knows how to put on outstanding events. We’re excited to participate again this year and to showcase our organization and research.”
Organizations and fire departments from around the country will be gathering to explore and learn more about the latest research that can be applied to improve fire service operations. This year, IAFC has partnered with Oklahoma State University to present the latest fire-based research, covering mental health, leadership, fire prevention operations, training and learning, and more.
Porter added, “We will be at booth 1041 and we look forward to discussing our organization and mission with many of the event’s attendees. We will also be sharing our research on fire referendums that passed and failed at the ballot box in 2018.”
