Quincy, MA – Grassroots political organization Firefighters & EMS Fund has announced their continued membership with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). NFPA is a global self-funded nonprofit organization, established in 1896, devoted to eliminating death, injury, property and economic loss due to fire, electrical and related hazards.

NFPA delivers information and knowledge through more than 300 consensus codes and standards, research, training, education, outreach and advocacy; and by partnering with others who share an interest in furthering their mission. Their mission is to “help save lives and reduce loss with information, knowledge and passion.”

“We are looking forward to another year as a member of the NFPA. One vital aspect of our grassroots movement is to collectively understand what issues matter to firefighters & EMS personnel and what they are facing while on duty. Engaging with this organization and their network allows us to be that much more hands-on and cognisant of how we can best help our first responders,” said Firefighters & EMS Fund’s Executive Director Nile Porter.

Firefighters & EMS Fund is a national grassroots organization whose mission is to provide a grassroots voice for firefighters across the country in the state and local political process.

The organization supports ballot initiatives and works to elect political leaders at the state and local level that understand our firefighters’ and public safety officers’ interests. Firefighters & EMS Fund seeks to use political action to solve the very real problems that have made firefighters’ and first responders’ jobs more dangerous and thankless.

“Our partnership with NFPA will continue to build that support network up and create change for our first responders. We appreciate the work that this organization is doing and look forward to another year,” concluded Mr. Porter.
