Firefighters and EMS Fund, a national political organization, announced this week that it will be attending the NFPA Conference & Expo in San Antonio, TX from June 17-20, 2019. The annual conference offers educational sessions on important issues impacting the firefighting industry, along with a three day expo that showcases the latest products and innovations in the industry.
Firefighters and EMS Fund recently became a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and is excited to attend the conference. Nile Porter, Executive Director of Firefighters and EMS Funds, said, “Conferences like this one are a great opportunity to network with other people, organizations, and companies that are working hard to improve the firefighting industry. We’re excited to hear what they have to say.”
The organization recently published a comprehensive 2018 Fire Referendum Report that highlighted where and how voters did and did not support their local fire departments in 2018. At the conference, Firefighters and EMS Fund hopes to share the report with organizations that can benefit from the research. “This is the first report of its kind in the fire industry and we are excited to pass it around and get feedback from others at the conference,” said Nile Porter.
The organization also looks forward to attending critical educational sessions at the conference, including one that is focused on the future of healthcare regulations.
